“Buttons, Not Bows” Sewing Challenge

This years challenge is to create a shirt,  jacket, or top using the fabric of your choice from Loom Remnants, and 3 or more buttons. 

80% of the finished garment should be from the contents of your competition pack, available in-store at Loom. I can post to you if you wish, call me on 0493 066 348

Create a top showcasing your technical skills along with your creative flair to win one of three prizes!!

Packs are $25 for ASG Members or $35 for non-members (you can join at aussew.org.au for $50 a year and get access to tons of great resources and real creative people)

The finished items will be showcased in a parade at 2 pm on the 21st of October 2023 at The Bowral CWA, and judged on style, suitability if fabrics to style, use of 3 or more buttons, and the fun aspect of your creation!

Show us your technical skills and creative flair! 

The packs include some stash-busting pieces, trims, and haberdashery. The aim is to use 80% of the content of the pack in your “Top”, and creativity is taken into account.

1st Prize: $200 LOOM FABRICS Store Voucher

2nd Prize: $100 LOOM FABRICS Store Voucher

3rd Prize: $50 LOOM FABRICS Store Voucher
