Loom Fabrics - Applique Spoon Slow Stitch Tea Towel

1. Sewists - gather your supplies and start your engines!

1a. Press the visaflex onto the wrong side of the floral panel. Use an old piece of fabric to soak up excess glue and prevent glue getting onto iron

2. peel off the scrap fabric used to soak up the excess glue

3. cut out the spoon shape using the pattern - I cut this around the stitch line for the finish I wanted - there are no rules remember - go your own way!

4. Peel the backing paper off once you have glued one side

5. place and press - the contrast fabric is now glued in place

9 - double fold the side hems - press first and attach the tape to the corner edge to form the loop. Stitch both long sides

9a. tuck any excess threads into the hem or trim before stitching - much easier to do this now than when sewn.

10. Check the pressed hem - if it extends past the edge of the tea towel, fold it under prior to stitching

12. fold under the excess hem on the corner

13. Join the wrong side of the tea towel to the rightside of the back bottom panel

14. press the seam allowance into the contrast hem panel

15. Stitch the braid to the raw edge of the front contrast hem panel. You need to trim the excess fabric away so it does not overhang the braid

16. trim excess fabric off so it doesn't overhand the braid trim

17. fold the contrast panel Right Sides together and stitch from folded edge to edn of contrast panel to catch the very edge of the tea towel in your seam

18. Trim the corners in the contrast panel

19. Turn contrast panel out to right side and press. Pin braid into place and stitch down

20. Finished applique tea towel vibrant
