How to sew KNIT and Stretch Fabrics | Sewing Workshop IRL Fri 15th May 10-4

Knit fabrics get a bad rap.  Too stretchy. Too tricky. Too easy to mess up.

But once you know what you’re doing?
They’re fast, forgiving, and way more fun than you think.

This Bowral workshop teaches you to cut, handle and sew stretch fabrics.

You’ll spend the day learning with other fun Stitchers — and get comfortable working with knits. You’ll sew your own knit top and wear it home!

And you’ll walk away with skills you’ll use again and again🤩🤩

What to Bring:

• Basic sewing kit or BUY ONE HERE
• Sewing machine or HIRE ONE HERE
• Overlocker if you have one – we will be working with a domestic machine though- you don’t need an overlocker to stitch knits, but if you have one you can use it.
• Choose fabrics in the studio on the day or bring something from your stash
• Your Lunch 🥪

• Snacks, tea and coffee will be supplied.
• A Paper pattern for a top will be supplied

This is not a beginners class. You need to have some basic sewing experience.

The classes are held with a minimum of four attendees – if you cancel it affects others. Therefore refunds or credits cannot be issued if you become unavailable. You can, however pass your place to a friend.
