Come join the fun and gain the confidence to use a sewing machine in this intro to machine sewing. Go home with a great woven tee shirt for yourself or a friend,  and the confidence to use your machine at home.

The class will run for 5.5  hours.

Come along and meet some other friendly and enthusiastic sewists, and learn how to feel confident using your sewing machine and scissors🤩

Our teaching style is relaxed and fun, and our mission is for you to be able to complete a project at the end of the session 🤩

Bring your own machine if you have one, otherwise, we have a couple of extras here you can hire. We love seeing your proud faces when you realise you can, in fact, sew!

What you will learn:

• Basic Fabric Selection
• How to cut out the fabric
• Sewing Machine Maintenance and set up
• Basic Seam finishing

Our mission in classes at Loom Fabrics is to keep it fun and finish sewing projects to foster a sense of achievement. For our beginner classes we are not about perfection, but instead satisfying some instant gratification needs by completing basic sewing projects. The first ones will be messy and wonky but we can proudly say “I made this”. In each and every following project our skills develop and improve, accidentally practicing as we grow our sewing skills. The classes are held with a minimum of four attendees – if you cancel it affects others. Therefore refunds or credits cannot be issued if you become unavailable. You can, however pass your place to a friend.
